Better onboarding journeys, with Krystal Higgins

Sat 3 July, 2021 @ 9:00 am 12:30 pm AEST

What do workplace orientation sessions, carousels, instructional videos, a peppy paperclip, and user manuals have in common? They’re all attempts to onboard people to new spaces. In this fully online Zoom session, Krystal takes you through several aspects of creating good onboarding sessions.

The course will be limited to 20 seats, one person per ticket.

$250.00 ( $180 for students and unwaged)

Better Onboarding Journeys

Onboarding is not just a single event in the user’s experience. It is a process that links together many events, over time, to acclimate people to a new product or service. A well designed user onboarding experience will guide new users toward retention and engagement, support different user situations, and guide them through multiple stages of their journeys as they interact with a product.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • How to apply guided interaction as an onboarding strategy;
  • How to define the end-goal of onboarding;
  • How to map new user onboarding journeys with your team;
  • How to prioritize key onboarding actions;
  • And how to apply guidance to a single onboarding action.

This workshop will be a mixture of presentation and hands-on-activities hosted via Zoom and digital collaboration tool MURAL.

Attendees of this course will get a free Better Onboarding e-book at course completion.
